Study of Jacob and Esau

We are studying the story of Jacob and Esau from Genesis. Through this study we will evaluate our roles in our families, struggles between siblings, fairness and God's Plan. We have tons of fun activities planned for these lessons.

We missed a lot of you on Sunday and hope to have our big group back this Sunday.

If you missed Sunday and have a chance read Genesis 25:19-34.

Don't forget this Sunday, September 27 is Celebration Sunday. Attend Faith Trek at 9:30 and then service at 10:45. Pastor Steve will be discussing the bible lesson we have all been studying and student work will be on display. Shannon and I would love to have everyone sit together!

See you Sunday morning!

Dinner Starter and Blog Challenge #4

Family Dinner Conversation Starter:
How does your family show their love for God?

Follow the Faith Blog Challenge #4 (repeat from last week so you have another chance):
Create a rule for yourself to answer these 3 topics...
How to honor and show love for GOD, honor and show love for Yourself and honor and show love for Others.

Sunday, Sept 20

What great fun we had on Sunday morning. Students created a poem to remind them who Matthew was and his contributions to the Bible. We summed up the two verses for this lesson in 5 words: LOVE GOD AND LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR. Finally, students used balloons to write how they show their love for God and love for their neighbors in select areas.

Sunday, Sept 13

This week Faith Trek members continued their study of Matthew 22. We discussed how commandments have changed over time, what types of commandments students have to work with today and current rules and expectations.

Shannon and I are always amazed by their thoughtful responses and insight into how to apply biblical topics to current day experiences.

Students completed their scratch art symbols of love which will be on display Sept 27 at the Celebration Service at 10:30.
